Hospital boss to leave

Airedale NHS Trust's director of strategy will leave her post at the end of February.

Julia Hickling will take up a similar position at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Adam Cairns, chief executive of Airedale, said that following an organisational review, she would not be replaced "on a like-for-like" basis.

Mr Cairns said: "We need to establish how her various important roles can be appropriately delivered within the organisation.

"This is an important opportunity to explore that in much more detail."
